John A. Esposito, affectionately known as "Esse" by his friends, passed away on July 10th at the age of 75.

John was a proud graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in English from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales (now DeSales University), a connection he held dear throughout his life.

After graduation, John enlisted in the United States Army, beginning a distinguished career that would span decades. With the Army, he served as both a writer and photographer, contributing to various military publications and demonstrating a deep loyalty to his service community. His dedication earned him great respect, and he remained with the Army until his retirement in 2009.

John also spent time teaching at St. Carthage in Southwest Philadelphia and later served as a General Manager for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

John was deeply devoted to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Francis and Mary(Flynn), and his brother Gerry. He is survived by his brothers Frank and Larry, his nieces, nephews, and his daughter, Jill Ann.

To those who knew him, Esse was a man who never did things halfway-his passions, friendships, and commitments were all-in. He had a great sense of humor and a generous heart.

He wore his DeSales pride on his hats and in his heart. His spirit, his stories, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, July 30, 2025 9:30am St. Joseph Church, 3255 Concord Rd. Aston, PA 19014 and to his Funeral Mass Wednesday, 10:30am in the Church. Int. Calvary Cemetery.

Donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project or DeSales University.
