John Lewis Etters
John Lewis Etters, 56, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on November 19, 2023 at his home. Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of Velda Joy Prince Crump and the late Bobby Eugene Etters, Sr. John was known for the company he worked so hard to build, Etters Paving of Kings Mountain. He served as owner and operator and dedicated himself to his business. When he wasn't nurturing Etters Paving, John was an avid hunter and fisherman who also loved spending time at the beach. Above all, John will be remembered for the love he gave his family, especially his precious little ones. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
SURVIVORS: Wife: Angela Huffstetler Etters - Gastonia
Mother: Velda Joy Prince Crump - Kings Mountain
Children: Polly Kageorge (Jason) - Portland, OR; Lee Etters (Hali) - Kings Mountain; Ava Etters - Gastonia; Caleb Allison - Gastonia
Siblings: Suzanne Williams and Bobby Eugene Etters, Jr. - Kings Mountain
Grandchildren: Madelyn Etters, Noah Etters, and Wally Kageorge
John is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverends Don and Caleb Williams officiating.
VISITATION: Immediately following the service at Harris Funeral Home.
