John Paul Evans, Jr. Jr.

John Paul Evans Jr., "Sonny," of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on August 5, 2025, after an 8-year battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1961, to John Paul Evans Sr., "Sonny" and Clara Jordan Evans in Chester County, PA. Sonny was a life-long truck driver and had the love for riding his motorcycle with his daughter Katie. Sonny taught his son JP everything he knows about trucking and John Deere tractors.

Sonny was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Nancy Good Evans, his father Sonny Evans, and his brother Pat Evans. Sonny is survived by his mother, Clara Jordan Evans. Sonny leaves behind two children: son JP Evans (Nicole) and daughter Katie Evans (James). Tanya Brosius was his long-time companion until he took his last breath. He has two grandsons: Austin and Wyatt Barnette. Sonny's siblings include sister Barbara Taylor of Maryland, sister Terry Beans of Delaware (Ken) and brother Kenny Evans of Gap (Karen) as well as nine nieces and nephews.

Sweet memories I won't forget

Just search for Heaven's shore, where engines roar

And you'll find that I've gone riding.

There will be a viewing from 5 pm until 7 pm on Monday August 11, 2025, at James Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA. There will also be a viewing from 9:45 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday morning, August 12 at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 11:00 am that is open to the public. He will be laid to rest at Northwood Cemetery following the service. Sonny's final resting spot will be with his brother, Pat, as they overlook the bypass, watching all the trucks go by and listening to jake brakes for eternity.
