I just learned of John's passing and apologize for the lateness of my condolences to his wonderful wife and family. When I lived in Harrisburg, I got to know the Ewells as a member of Calvary - and admired John tremendously for his good humor and always-ready-to-get-involved spirit. I'm sure he will be missed by all whose lives he touched, and that was many, many people. I was proud to know John and wish his family peace at his passing.

John was my neighbor for 50 years and a Masonic Brother. His dedication to his community and to his Masonic Fraternity was remarkable. The world was definitely a better place with John in it. A more humble and caring servant of God cannot be found. Barbara please let us know when the services are scheduled

Condolences to Barb, John, and Jill. John was the finest man I ever knew as my Scoutmaster, my Masonic Brother, and my friend. His life was an example to others. His loss is a terrible loss to all of us when examples like him are much needed in these dissolute times.

Cindi and I have known John for many years from church and volunteering at our food pantry at Calvary Church. John was a great man of faith and a person who always helped those in need. Job well done good and faithful servant. We will miss you at our pantry.
