John Feidt, Jr. Obituary John Thorpe Feidt, Jr., of Ipswich, MA., died peacefully April 4, 2024, at the age of 83, after a six-year battle with Vascular Dementia. His family is grateful for the care he received at the Sunrise Living at Gardner Park in Peabody and Care Dimensions.
Thorpe was raised by parents John Thorpe Feidt Sr., and Margaret Culp Feidt.
He attended Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia throughout his formative years and received his Masters in Art and Art History at Pratt Institute of Art in N.Y.C. Thorpe settled on the North Shore of New England where he was a Professor at Montserrat College of Art for 37 years. He was an actor in local theater companies, an author, a mentor, and an avid lover of jazz.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gray-Feidt, his god-son, Dr. Sascha Feinstein of Williamsburg, VA., two step-children, and five step-grandchildren.
