John William Ferrini

John William Ferrini, 89 of Briarcliff Manor, NY and Juno Beach, Fl passed away peacefully in his NY home on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
John was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Emelie and Leo Ferrini on October 8, 1936. During his childhood years, the family moved to Burbank, CA. After graduating from Burbank High School, John enlisted in the US Army serving from 1957 to 1963. He was extremely proud of his service in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. John spoke of his service often.
Following, his honorable discharge from the United States Army John attended California State University Northridge. After receiving his degree, he began his career in Marketing with MLB Marketing in North Hollywood, CA. Several years later John accepted a position in marketing which brought him to the east coast, New York City to seek his "Fame and Fortune"( which was quoted regularly by John).
Thereafter, John moved to Westchester County where he started his company, JF Direct, also known as JFD. John was an extremely successful businessman. John was passionate about his company, hardworking and dedicated to its success until his passing.
John was an avid golfer. In 1977 his competitive nature led him to Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Scarborough, NY. where he established and maintain friendships for life. John was known by many as the "Commissioner of Golf Central", in charge of scheduling golf games for his friends.
In 2020, John found his second home in Juno Beach FL. He thoroughly enjoyed the warm weather and beaches which reminded him of his memories of CA.
John had a wonderful sense of humor and was always a willing participant in life. He always had a smile and was kind and compassionate to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
John was predeceased by his wife Jan Ferrini. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Marriott ( Mike ) of Thousand Oaks, CA, his brother Leo ( Leslie ) of Roseville, CA and sister Rose, his niece and goddaughter Kathy Shekter of Granada Hills, CA., 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews, and Mary Ellen Joy of Briarcliff Manor, NY his fiance and partner until his death.
Visitation will be held at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home in Briarcliff Manor, NY on Friday, October 31, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Scarborough Presbyterian Church in Scarborough, NY at 10:00am followed by interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
A reception will follow at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Scarborough, NY at 12:30pm.
