John P. Foley, age 70, of Osseo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at his home. He was born October 28, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Shirley (Beaubian) Foley.

For 30 years, John worked at the BPU Power Plant in Hillsdale, retiring in 2011. He was an avid sports fan and pool player. John also enjoyed spending summers fishing and boating on Baw Beese Lake in Hillsdale and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer (Aaron) Bernard of Osseo, and Shannon Foley of Hillsdale; and seven grandchildren, Ethan, Jada, Justin, Jazmine, Ryan, Jayce, and Claudia.

John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Daniel Foley, and Michael Foley; and his former spouse, Sandy Foley.

There will be no services at this time for John Foley. Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. John's final months were surrounded by his loving family and compassionate care provided by Ashley Carpenter of Beyond Angel Care.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
