John Wesley Ford, 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born to the late John and Mamie (Mann) Ford in Annapolis, Missouri, on May 16,1928.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His dedication, discipline, and strong work ethic carried throughout his life and career as an inspector for Browning Arms Manufacturer.
He loved the outdoors, where he could take in nature, whether it was hunting, fishing, or raising his garden.
John is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Bill) Lewis and Janet Faure; his son; Darold Ford; grandchildren, Christen (Steve) Wiegers, Eric Wiemers, Ashley(Tony) Wattanaparuda, and Traci Ford; great grandchildren, Ella, Gabriel, Luke, Nora, James Wattanaparuda, and Ben Wiegers; one sister, Lana Gaston; along with many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Betty Ford; his sisters Carmen Rudanovich, Daretta Ann Ford, Eunisa Bond, Carnelia Lueddecke, Darlene Ford, and Elvera Creek; brothers, Delian Ford, Don Ford, Darwin Ford, and Wayne Ford.
Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington, Missouri on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Reverend Howard Casteel will be officiating. Interment will take place at Annapolis Cemetery in Annapolis, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son - Bryson Chapel.
