John Dixon Foster, age 58 and a resident of Albany peacefully passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Albany High School and Southeastern Louisiana University, where he met his adoring wife, Patricia. John loved fishing, hunting and was a respected home brewer.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years, Patricia; son, Jacob Foster (Hannah); siblings, Edward Foster (Sylvia), Laurie Aswell (Harold), and Cindy Gill (Don); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmer and Faye Foster.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Services on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Albany. Bro. Alton Foster will officiate the services with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
