John A. Fox

John Arnell Fox, 85 of Tipton was born in Tipton on October 13, 1940 to Cornelius “CJ” Fox & Nedra (Shaw) Fox Aldridge. John passed away at home on Monday, December 29, 2025 surrounded by family. He married Sandra K. Redmon on April 29, 1966 and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2024.

John worked as a Trouble Shooter at Chrysler, retiring in 1997. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 – 63 and was a member of the American Legion. He belonged to the Moose Lodge and the UAW. John enjoyed fishing, golfing and travelling out West. He especially enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.

Survivors include daughters, Tracy Loran (Fox) Stiner and husband Kevin, Tipton, Marne Layne Fox-Barrow and husband Shawn Barrow, Carnation, Washington and an adopted daughter Darcy L. (Fox) Leiding of Tipton. Grandchildren include Kelcy Clark, Jeffrey Leiding , Sahmantha Guffey, Gretchen Garst, Erin Lee and Redmon Conwell. John was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Braylee, Taydem, Stella, Hailyn, Chance, Hattie and Karson. He is also survived by one sister, Cathy Clingenpeel of Anderson and was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Wallpe and Karyn Finch.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be at Arcadia Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences for John’s family may be made on his obituary page at www.young-nichols.com.
