Beloved father, John Wesley Freeburn, passed away peacefully in his home on January 17th 2026 at the age of 63. He is survived by his son Daniel Freeburn, and his step children Christine Halford and Mark Hutchison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Virginia Freeburn as well as his older brother Jim.

He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on September 4th 1962. He held lifelong passions for carpentry, outdoorsmanship, RC airplanes, and cooking; and he loved to share those pass-times with others. He was Airman First Class and an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist in the United States Airforce. He was also a member of the Robert Burns Masonic Lodge in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The memorial will be held at Mount Cavalry United Methodist Church (175 N. Fairville Ave., Harrisburg PA) at 11am on April 15th 2026. It will be followed by military honors and burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville PA) at 1pm. Finally, there will be a wake and potluck hosted by his older brother Rick Freeburn at his family home after the burial. All friends and family are welcome.
