John was born in Elizabeth on November 13th 1957 to the late John A. and Helen Paszek Gabrish and lived his whole life in Linden where he graduated from Linden High School in 1975.
John was an avid boater, fisherman and enjoyed watching sports.
John was employed by Linden Warehouse & Distribution Corp. Linden for the past 22 years as a forklift operator where he had support from good friends, past and present. He also belonged to Union Local 560. Previously he was the owner of Linden Stove and Repair Shop for 15 years. John is survived by his sister, Joan K. Gutkowski and her husband Mark, His nephews, Mark Gutkowski and his wife Karen and Jesse Gutkowski and his wife Michelle and their children Abe and Myles. Dearest friend of Andy Bachmann. A private cremation has been held.
