John Howard Geller

Our beloved John Howard Geller, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, surrounded by family after a brief illness in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Born on January 20, 1953, in St. Augustine, FL to Annie Ruth (Lee) and Frederick Geller, John grew up in Bunnell then Daytona Beach, Florida. John will always be remembered for his perseverance and sharp sense of humor.

John was an inspiration to many having survived a life-altering injury while delivering papers at the age of 14 and defying all odds to life a long and fulfilled life. John went on to graduate in 1972 from Seabreeze High School and attended Daytona Beach Community College, receiving a certificate in Horticulture. John, who many called "Farmer John," had a passion for gardening and tended to his extensive backyard garden and sold his produce at the local market. Another activity that John thoroughly enjoyed was playing pool with his friends at Hartman's Newstand/Poolhall along with other locating deriving great pleasure showing off his pool prowess.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Ruth and Fred Geller, older brother Erb "Ed" Davis, sisters-in-law, Joanne Davis and Linda Geller, great-niece, Haile Geller.

John is lovingly remembered by his brother Benjamin (Georgianne) Geller of Cantonment, Florida, his nieces and nephews to include Angela (Andrew) Parks of Weston, Florida, Stacy (Drew) Ramsey of Oxford, Alabama, Eddie (Lisa) Davis of South Carolina, and Andrew (Jonann) Geller of Navarre, Florida, great nieces and nephews, and life-long friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Bay Breeze Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of "Mr. John" over the past eight years and Dr. Peoples, the nurses and staff at Gulf Breeze Hospital and Gentiva Hospice for their care and compassion during his transition home to his heavenly father.

A Funeral Service for John Geller will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 7810 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida 32566, with service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Espanola Cemetery, Bunnell, FL.
