Count John Gentile

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Count John Gentile, who left us on September 11, 2025 at the age of 76. He was born on November 20, 1948 to Giovanni Gentile and Audrey Heiden. Count was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 55 years, Karen, and a loving father to his children, Jason, Shanda, and Amber. He was also a proud "Pa" to his grandchildren Brady and Alexa. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his family. Count loved to travel the world with his wife, family, and friends (The Elysians). A man of integrity and kindness, Count will be remembered for his gentle nature and his ability to make everyone feel loved and valued. Count is survived by his wife Karen; his children Jason Gentile (Julie), Shanda Piet (Brent), and Amber Gentile; his grandchildren Brady and Alexa as well as his mother Audrey Heiden, sisters Linda Allar (Patrick), Erica Schulte (Richard), Shari Young (Tom), and Marta Heiden. Memorial visitation Monday 2-8pm. Memorial service Tuesday 10:30am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 54880 Van Dyke (at 25 Mile Rd.), Shelby Township.
