John Gilbert Hughes was born August 20, 1958, in Pasadena, California to parents William Harry and Dorothy Mae (Olsen) Hughes.
John became a licensed pilot as a teenager and later became a flight instructor. He later worked as a programmer and in computer operations in the direct marketing industry and retired around 2015.
He loved league bowling; and also, he loved reading about and watching tv shows and movies about planes.
John is survived by his wife Deborah Hughes; sister Linda Tregre; sisters-in-law Theresa Walter and Brenda Bejar; brother-in-law Larry Eagle and his wife Karen and all of their family members.
There will be a private service held for John at a later date.
