I only just recently recalled working with John at West High. He was a counselor when I was a new and young teacher. I enjoyed working with him, and my memory of him is of a man with a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He was kind to the youth he counseled. He was a good example to me. I missed him when he retired.
I am sure that you, his family, miss him so much now. My sympathies to you.

John was always an upbeat man that genuinely liked everyone. He was a coach and enjoyed refereeing. He loved working with adolescents and tried to guide them to good decisions.
John was a good person and friend.
