John E. Hadden, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. John faced his illness with strength, grace, and unwavering faith, surrounded by the love of those who meant everything to him.
John was the devoted husband of 37 years to his beloved wife, Patty (née Bruns). Together, they built a life full of love, faith, and family. He was a proud father to his daughter, Lauren White, and her husband, Brian, and to his son, Tyler Hadden, and his wife, Chelsey (née Deloney).
Nothing brought John more joy than being “Pops” to his three beautiful grandchildren— Emerson, Bennett, and Maverick—who lit up his world each and every day.
John is survived by his brother, Kevin (Kim) Hadden, as well as three sister-in-laws who were like sisters to him: Mary Ann McCarthy (Bob), Teresa Sarmiento (George Sr.), and Donna Cole (Steve).
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and who will forever remember his humor, warmth, and generous heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Marilynn Hadden (Middletown, CT).
A man deeply devoted to his faith, John was an active member of St. Vivian Parish, where he found purpose and community. He was also an enthusiastic Xavier Basketball season ticket holder and a loyal Ohio State football fan.
John cherished time spent with his Monday Night “Wings and Rings” group and the Xavier “Hoppy Hour” gang, whose camaraderie and friendship brought him so much joy over the years.
Professionally, John dedicated more than 35 years to PNC Bank, where he was respected for his work ethic, integrity, and kindness.
John will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quick wit, steadfast faith, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created.
