John C. Hall Jr.

John C. Hall Jr., age 75, of Martin, KY, husband of Gloria Faye Newsome Hall, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Willows at Hamburg, Lexington, KY. He was born October 31, 1947, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late John C. and Kathryn Osborne Hall. For over 40 years Johnny was co-owner, funeral director and embalmer of Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
Johnny was a lover of all things Martin, specifically the Martin Purple Flash, High School Basketball, Bluegrass Music, Country Cookin' and Eastern KY., in general. He also loved his family, friends and caring for the people of Floyd County in their time of need.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Kara (Bobby) Gray, Winchester, KY and Blair Hall, Lexington, KY, one brother; Tommy (Burnetta) Hall, Martin, KY, one sister; Kimberly (Deb Sylvester) Hall, Salt Lake City, UT, five grandchildren; Boone and Lousia Gray, Sawyer, Wylder and Carolina Bentley.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, KY, visitation is from 3 until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
