Mary Sue "Clouse" Murphy

Mary Sue Murphy, age 68, of Wayland, KY, wife of Tommy Murphy, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born July 5, 1957 in Martin, KY, to the late Leo and Eula Wright Clouse. She was a member of the Wayland Methodist Church and a retired school teacher.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter; Brittany Murphy, Wayland, KY, daughters at heart; Leanna Clouse, Charla Hopkins, Heather Fraley & Becky Piersall, one brother; Tommy Clouse, Martin, KY, one sister; Emma Clouse; Ypsilanti, MI. and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Mike Clouse and two sisters; Ethel Clouse and Sandra Childers.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
