I worked with John at Bank of America many years ago. He was a spiritual mentor to me and he helped revitalize my relationship with Jesus Christ. I remember John occasionally stopping in the hall and praying with someone who was struggling. He let his light shine for Christ. I am sad that I never was able to talk to him again, i wished to reconnect. He was someone who touched my life. That meeting will have to occur in heaven. John is looking down and smiling as he is in heaven.

John you were a major league asset to Morningstar Fellowship Church and carried the burden of the accounting department for seven years. You also taught at the church. Your legacy is being remembered today.

John, I just read your obituary and I can tell you were a very good man, loving father and husband, and Al all around good guy...all 3 great legacies. You passed away way too soon. I have not seen you for well over 50 years but I know you leave behind a wonderful family who will continue to love and remember you. God bless you my cousin.

My dear cousin John,
While I have known you all my life (48 years), our paths crossed all too infrequent and for that I am sorry. I do know and have always known, dear brother, of your great love for Our Lord & Savior. I trust that you know everything in His presence now, including my sadness over not knowing you were sick. My prayers for you, your wife and daughters.
I read your book with great joy and enthusiasm and now I read your life in print. Somehow, the words don´t do justice for one soul´s impact on the lives of others. You have touched many lives through your efforts John. Well done good and faithful servant. Eternal rest be granted unto you, and let perpetual light shine upon you.
With much love, your cousin,
Mark Houck
