John Gordon Hart, age 70, passed away on August 8, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Born in California to Fred and LaDaine Mansfield Hart, John grew up with a dream of becoming a police officer and completed the process to fulfill that goal. Life’s path led him in another direction when he was offered an opportunity at one of the nation’s largest automotive plants, Saturn, later becoming General Motors.
John built a lifelong career there, mastering many different trades before earning the position of Team Leader. Known for his strong work ethic and leadership, he guided his team to success and took great pride in their accomplishments. John dedicated 32 years before his retirement.
He was married to the love of his life, Annett Burgett Hart, and together they raised their beloved son, Harlan Hart. John was known for his love of life, friendly demeanor, and deep devotion to his family. He had a special fondness for their cat, “Luke,” and found joy in the beauty of nature. If there was a chance to be outdoors, John embraced it, especially when it involved water skiing or enjoying NASCAR.
John is survived by his wife, Annett, and son, Harlan. He will be remembered for his kindness, his passion for life, and the love he shared with those around him.
