John Hartnett Obituary

An avid golfer, John spent countless hours on the greens, sharing his love of the game with friends and family. Known for his youthful spirit, he often brought joy and laughter to those around him and his warmth was felt by everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Robert Hartnett and Martha Lee Hartnett (Hentrich) and his sister Karen (Ron) Behney. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nina, his two daughters, Jackie (James) Ackerman and Bobbee (Kirk) Kornhoff, six cherished grandchildren, his brothers, Brad Hartnett and Dave (Lori) Hartnett, sister Marsha (Ron) Orson, and many nieces and nephews.
His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to inspire us. We find comfort knowing John is now at peace, watching over us with the same love and care he shared throughout his life. Rest in peace, John; you will be deeply missed.
Visitation is Monday, September 9, 2024, at Falconer Funeral Home (251 W. Juniper Ave. Gilbert, AZ 85233) from 5-8pm, rosary at 7.
Mass will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 10am, at St. Anne's Catholic Church (440 E Elliot Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85234). Internment immediately follows at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1562 E. Baseline Rd. Mesa, AZ 85204).
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul.

I met John at St Anne's when my wife JJ was going through RCIA. They always had deep religious discussions and I enjoyed hearing them talk. John and I became friends and he was a big part of my return to my faith. When JJ passed away, he was there for me. I was so sad to hear of his passing. He will be prayed for and missed.
