John F. Hawley, 86 of Mt.Morris, passed away May 13, 2025, at home. He was born December 26, 1938 in Michigan to Lucille and Homer Hawley. He had 4 brothers and 1 sister, all deceased.
He married his high school sweetheart, Betty, on March 11, 1961. They had 4 children Tammy Crook of Ashton, Tina (Brian) Morgan of Wisconsin, Teri (Mario) Ujcic of Mt. Morris and John (Tiffany) Hawley of Florida.
John was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He loved the LORD and loved talking about HIM on a daily basis. John was very much involved in the church throughout our lives, whether it was teaching junior church, preaching or teaching a Sunday school class.
One of his favorite verses was Proverbs 3:5,6.
One thing he was known to say was “I am resting my eyes” it was something fun he would say, but while resting his eyes he would still hear all conversations.
We will miss him, dearly. Love you dad. See you in Heaven with mom, someday.
