John Hermes Obituary

John Paul “JP” Hermes, 46, passed away on November 26, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Therese Hermes. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristine “Kristy” Hermes, along with his siblings and their spouses. JP was born in Frederick, Maryland, and has lived in Denver, CO, with Kristy since 2014.

JP loved his kitties, exploring the outdoors, going to concerts at Red Rocks, and listening to ‘90’s rap and R&B wherever he went. A creative spirit, JP was always crafting something new with his 3-D printer or flying his drone just to see the world from a different angle. He was a huge fan of Denver Sports teams, especially the Colorado Avalanche, and he cherished every moment spent with his friends and family.

A celebration of JP’s life will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 8th at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Aurora, CO, with a reception following at the National Western Complex in Denver, CO.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America https://aafa.org/, Denver Rescue Mission https://denverrescuemission.org/, or the National Park Foundation https://nationalparks.org/.
