John W. "Jack" Higdon, son of the late Joe and Mary Ellen Higdon, passed away early Sunday morning, March 29, 2026.
Jack was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, in the class of 1969. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy, including a tour in the Mediterranean.
He worked as a salesman for many years at Davis Distributors. Then, Jack joined RNA Rental as Maintenance Manager.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; his sister, Helena; and his brothers, Fred and Larry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Additionally, he is survived by Jeannie’s daughter, Katie and sister, Margaret. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony; his sister, Joellen; his sister-in-law, Paula; and his brother-in-law, Ed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors with the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky, and to Jacks’ longtime friends, Lynn Payne and Phil Roberts, for their love and support, especially at this difficult time.
