Judy Green Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Whitsell Funeral Home - Morganfield on Mar. 30, 2026.
Judy Ann Green, age 73 of Morganfield was called home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2026. She was born on September 24, 1952 in Morganfield, KY to Lee and Helen Jackson. She was raised in Union County and was a graduate of Union County High School, Class of 1970. She then went on to Owensboro Business College and graduated with an Associate's Degree of Business. She took a job with Bell South after graduating, and this was where she met her husband of 52 years, David Green. They married on December 14, 1973. Judy and David worked together for 10 years at the telephone company, until the birth of their children. Judy then chose to stay home to help raise her two sons, Jason and Adam Green.

Judy was a devout and faithful Christian. She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was the epitome of a homemaker and was known as "Mother Goose" to the neighborhood children and "The Keeper of Old Things" to her entire family. She was an avid camper and loved cooking, gardening, and was a true caretaker of everyone around her. Judy had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and had a fierce love for her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her loving husband David Green, sons Jason (Kassie) Green and Adam (Kristy) Green, all of Morganfield, KY and her stepson, Aaron Green of Tega Cay, SC. Survivors also include her mother, Helen Jackson of Morganfield, grandson Brantley Green, granddaughters Sadie and Blaklie Green, step grandsons, Logan Green and James Neal Hancock, and step granddaughter, Emmy Hancock. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Edward Jackson, and her brother Rick Jackson.

Judy's children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and David was not only her husband, but her best friend and the love of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31st from 1 PM to 3 PM with the funeral to follow at 3 PM at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
