John Holt Obituary
Mickey was a long-life resident of Jackson County. He had a large family circle and many friends. He will be missed. He always had a smile for everyone and loved life. His attitude was upbeat and happy. He enjoyed telling his life stories.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Grays Chapel in Estillfork, Alabama with Roy "Chopper" Miller, and Paul Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford's Cemetery.
Mickey is survived by his best friend and life partner in crime, Cindy Dolberry; sisters, Ruby Joe (Willard) McCullough, Doris (Tom) Swafford, and Sharon McGuffey; his beloved dog, Slim Shady; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ruby E Holt; brothers, Robert Holt, Donald Holt, Rickey Holt, and Jerry Holt.

Mickey was a good man who thought a lot about his family and friends and he shared many stories with me of his memories of them. He was so kind and always willing to help anyway he could from friends to family and even strangers. He was soft hearted and hard headed. It was rare to see him without a smile on his face and when he spoke you could tell he was so happy to see you. He was my best friend and I know I will never be that close to another person. I miss him now and forever. I will remember him always and cherish the memories of our time together. He was my one true love.
