Such a great (and very tall) guy! I remember him so fondly. I´ll forever him on Sr. Benches at OFA - he always seemed to know everything about everything in such a humble & friendly way, as was his demeanor. Shall be missed & remembered well!

Wow. I remember John foundly, as a classmate and High School Teammate, in both Soccer and Volleyball. We spent so much time together in the gym. Rest in Peace.

Condolences to the entire Howell family. John was a great friend and natural athlete...making the difficult look effortless, and making everyone around him better. As stated so well, the world is a better place because of him and he will be greatly missed.

A few us still here at Gardena PD worked proudly alongside John. He was a positive person full of energy; he will be missed.

Dear Priscilla, Lauren and Maddie - I was just looking back on pictures and videos of the four of you ice skating at Lifeguard arena last March. I only met John a few times but each time I did see him one thing that stood out was how much he loved you and how much that love was returned by all of you. My deepest condolences.
