John Thomas Howell, 73, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on Monday February 24, 2025, with his devoted and loving wife of 36 years Barbara by his side. He was born February 10, 1952 in North Versailles, a son of the late William and Blanche Howell, and he was also preceded in death by his brothers Willy Howell, Bob Howell, and Charles Howell; and his sister Lynne Moon; father in-law John McEwen; and brother in-law Robert who was always there to help his sister care for John after his Parkinson's (PSP) diagnosis. In addition to his wife Barbara (McEwen) Howell; he is survived by his sisters Cindy (John) Talbot and Blanche Stupar "Sis"; mother in-law Antoinette McEwen; brother in-law John (Lauren) McEwen; daughters Lisa (Larry) DiPano, Lori (Jim) Shigo; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Michael) Nesbit, Dylan (Maddie) Zgurich, Tyler Shigo; two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle John dearly. John retired from Proline Pipeline, and was a hard worker for many years with Wright Industries, and many companies that sub contracted for the gas industry. He was well known and respected due to his knowledge and dedication. He paved the way for others including many family members whose love for Uncle John led them to follow in his footsteps. Often referred to as a legend in his field some even called him the Godfather of the Pipeline. John was an avid hunter and enjoyed his deer hunting trips, drinking beer, laughing, and having good times with his buddies at his hunting camp in Glen Campbell. A special thanks to the caring, kindness, and love shown to John by Shyra, Becky, and all the wonderful people at Bridges Hospice, they are true angels. John will be sadly missed. Services are private and are being handled by William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200. Memorial contributions can be made to APDA or the Parkinson's Foundation.

I will miss you so much my heart is broken, you were my last living brother. I am so glad I came to see you for your birthday, you held me and Sis hand like you was trying to tell us something. You looked so tired then, now you are not suffering anymore, rest in peace bother I will miss you everyday, your baby sister Cindy.
