John Hutsell Obituary

John was born on May 15, 1954 in Casper, Wyoming to Robert and Marian Hutsell. He grew up with his brother and sisters in Casper until he was 11 years old and then moved to Texas and went on to a wonderful career as a Project Manager for Koch Pipeline and Magellan Midstream, marrying his wife, and raising his children. Throughout his life, John was known for his kind heart, love he shared with others, leadership, and great work ethic.
Outside of work, John loved fishing, hunting, camping, working, and fixing things in his garage. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family in the outdoors and participating in church activities.
John was preceded in death by his mother Marian Clemens Hutsell. He is survived by his cherished wife of 46 years: Christine Hutsell; his 2 loving children: daughter Ginny Schutt and her husband Richie of Frisco, TX; son Robert Hutsell and his wife Dallas Hutsell of Boerne, TX; his six grandchildren: Luke, Madison, Micah, Houston, Hudson, and Eve. He is also survived by his father Robert L. Hutsell and three siblings; Linda Ragsdale, David Hutsell, and Jane Meziere.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Scott Ulmer and his compassionate staff at START Center for Cancer Care.
His memorial service will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church Boerne.
