John “Jack” Graham III, 81, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Port Richey, Florida. Born on December 10, 1943, in Bayonne, New Jersey, Jack lived a life marked by service, innovation, and an enduring love for family and hands-on pursuits.

Jack proudly served his country in both the United States Naval Reserves and on active duty with the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1964. His time stationed in Morocco during active duty reflected his adventurous spirit and deep commitment to duty. His military service was a defining chapter in his life and one he carried with pride throughout the years.

Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Jack pursued higher education at Saint Peter’s College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with a focus on computer programming. Even as a student, he demonstrated remarkable industriousness—working on alarm systems, electrical systems, boilers, and refrigeration. These early experiences not only honed his technical skills but also laid the foundation for a career that would span decades and leave a lasting impact.

Jack’s professional journey was both dynamic and influential. As a computer programming manager at NJ Bell, he led his team through the historic divestiture that resulted in the formation of AT&T and Bell Atlantic—an era that reshaped the telecommunications landscape. His leadership during this pivotal time showcased his strategic thinking and technical acumen. After retiring from Bell Atlantic, Jack’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own computer programming consulting firm as well as a trucking business. His ability to adapt and innovate remained constant throughout his career.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jack was a man of many talents and passions. A proud Eagle Scout, he embodied the values of perseverance, integrity, and service from an early age. He found joy in his Scottish heritage many times wearing his kilt for special occasions. Jack’s additional interests included: chess, golf, boating, driving, and anything that involved tools—pursuits that reflected both his love of adventure and his innate problem-solving abilities. Whether repairing machinery or navigating open waters, Jack approached every challenge with confidence and skill.

At the heart of Jack’s life was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Vicki Graham and Lainie Graham Cox and her spouse Pete; as well as by his cherished grandchildren Mark Moller and Christie Moller. Jack also cherished his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. His legacy lives on through them and through all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Jack was predeceased by his parents John and Jean Graham; his brother Donald Graham; and his aunt Alice Messeder.

Jack will be laid to rest at Crest Haven Memorial Park Clifton NJ alongside his parents John and Jean, aunt Alice, and grandparents Frank Howard Messeder and Mary Messeder (nee Downie).

A man of intellect, dedication, and boundless curiosity, Jack Graham leaves behind a legacy of service, innovation, and love. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and inspiration to those who follow in his footsteps.
