John Stanley Jasik, a man whose laughter, love, and adventurous spirit enriched the lives of all who knew him, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024, in Caro, Michigan. Born on March 11, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, John's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for the great outdoors, and his innate ability to bring joy and humor to every occasion.
John's life was a tapestry woven with the love of his cherished wife, Mary, and the pride he took in his children, Jill Jasik, Angela Buys, and Joshua (Sondra) Jasik. He was a guiding light to his grandchildren, Lauren, Anna, Faith, Joseph, Ally, Austin, Jasmine, and Malena, and a playful great-grandfather to Caleb, Carter, and Nolan. His presence was a source of comfort and strength to his siblings, Patricia Johns, Douglas (Trisha) Jasik, Liz (Mike) Findlay, and Marjorie Lockwood. John was lovingly embraced by his bonus mom, Marge Jasik, who supported and cherished him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Eleanor (Witkowski) Jasik, and his sisters, Cindy Rager and Carolyn Traxinger, whose memories he held close to his heart.
An avid hunter and fisherman, John found solace and excitement in the embrace of nature. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by the joy he found in spending time with his family and friends. John's legacy is one of love and laughter, shared stories around campfires, and the quiet moments of teaching his grandchildren the beauty of a sunrise over the water.
Those who knew John would describe him as loving, funny, and adventurous. He had an uncanny ability to fill a room with laughter, to lighten the heaviest of hearts with his quick wit, and to inspire others to seek adventure in their own lives. His stories, often embellished for effect, will be retold and cherished, keeping the essence of his spirit alive.
John's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. He navigated life's challenges with grace and humor, and he left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched. As we bid farewell to John Stanley Jasik, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a journey marked by unbridled joy, and a legacy that will continue to inspire and warm the hearts of generations to come.
John's family takes comfort in knowing that his love and laughter will echo through the stories they share and the memories they hold dear. His was a life well-lived, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John was and always will be a part of my life. The day I met him he passed me a note on a napkin. (It said) I LOVE YOU. That made me laugh on a very rough day. 1977 was the year.
