Obituary of John L. Jefferson
John L. Jefferson, 86, of Arlington, passed away after a brief illness on July 8th. He was the loving husband of the late Martha (Pappadopoulos) Jefferson.
Born and raised in Woburn, John was the youngest son of 4 children of the late Michael L. and Rose (Xenakis) Jefferson. He is predeceased by his siblings Cleo Wilson, Betty Argetes, and Pano Jefferson.
John is survived by his son Michael P. Jefferson of Westford, along with his daughter-in-law Tricia and grandson Alex. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Hope Cares, his sister-in-law Carol Jefferson, and several nieces & nephews.
John worked his entire professional career in a wide variety of roles for Cains Foods, the same company he conducted his co-op opportunity through his alma mater, Northeastern University. At Cains, John was responsible for Product Quality and served as the Plant Manager at its headquarters in Ayer.
John was a detail-oriented, hard-working and faithful man, but it was his love and dedication to his family that will be remembered most.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave., Woburn on Thursday, July 13 at 11:00 am. An hour of visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to the service. Burial will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
