John Jones Obituary

Mr. Jones was born in Manchester, TN to his late parents John Paul "JP" Jones and Alta Jean Buckner Jones. He was a farmer alongside his father and continued the family business after his father's passing. In addition to working as a farmer for 43+ years, Mr. Jones was very active with the Hillsboro Homecoming Association. He was also a local reserve deputy. Mr. Jones was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his free time shooting, hunting, fishing, and working his land. He was also one of the best volunteers anyone could depend on if big equipment was needed. But more than anything else, Mr. Jones loved spending time with his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Linda Sue Roper.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vickie Jones; daughters, Ashley Jones and Morgan (Drew) Burgess; grandchildren, Jones and Lakelynne Burgess; honorary family, Casie (Kyle) and Jax Martin; a host of close family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm with funeral services following at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Coffee Co.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hillsboro Homecoming Association, 7926 Hillsboro Hwy., Hillsboro, TN 37342, or to the Hope Lodge Nashville, 2008 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
