John Frank Kaderavek

John Frank Kaderavek, 98, of Cazenovia, WI, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was the son of John and Anna (Hynek) Kaderavek on April 14, 1927, Henrietta Township, Richland Co. WI. John was united in marriage to Jeanette E. Fuller, September 25, 1948.
John served his country in WWII in the U.S. Navy Seabees, March 1945- July 1946, on duty in the Pacific on Guam.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping, his ATV, working on his lawn, and bird-watching. He always looked forward when his son, Lon, came faithfully each week. They cut wood together, went for rides on their ATVs. They plotted and planned deer hunting like pros on a battlefield.
He attended Melancthon Creek, a one-room rural school, graduated from Richland Center High School, Richland County Normal School and the University of Wisconsin/Platteville. Thirty-seven years of his life he enjoyed teaching and the students. He taught rural schools for eight years (Block School & Melancthon Creek), and state graded schools (Lime Ridge & Weston) for twenty-nine years.
John is survived by his wife Jeanette and son Lon (Patti) Kaderavek, of Prairie Du Sac, two grandsons, Ryan (Leslie) of Huntly, IL, Aaron (Rachel) Prairie du Sac and five great grandchildren, Nellie, Claire, Della, Olivia, and Wyatt, nieces and nephews, and other relatives, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents (John and Anna), three sisters (Agnes, Bessie, Helen), two brothers (Paul, James).
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Anderson officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. The Cazenovia American Legion McNamara-Jasper Post 491 will provide military honors at the funeral home.
