John Henry Kaiser, 89, peacefully left this world on August 16, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Pickaway County on June 6, 1936, to George and Harriett (Collums) Kaiser. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws William and Ethel Davis, son-in-law Jeff Ralston, granddaughter Ashley Nicole Linthicum and sister Ethel Casto. John is survived by Marilyn, his wife of 67 years; children Lisa (Brock Merriam), Julie Ralston and Steve (Arlyn) Kaiser; grandchildren Hillary (Drew) Mancini, Mandy (Sam) Wasem, Brandy Ralston, Nicholas (Amanda) Linthicum, Lindsey Kaiser-Stewart, Jaelyn (Nate) Myers, Robby and Tristan Kaiser and 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings George Ray (Evelyn), Robert and Richard Kaiser and Karen Woods. John graduated from Scioto High School in 1954 and immediately served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War (1954-56) stationed in Germany. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Davis, on February 26, 1958. He retired from Hartford Steam Boiler after 40 years of service. Besides being a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather, John was a community activist serving as Commercial Point mayor for 12 years and a 35-year volunteer fireman for Scioto Twp. Fire Department. He was the founder of the village water plant which was dedicated in his honor as the John H. Kaiser Utility Complex in 2019. John was and avid sports fan. He coached Little League baseball and was a high school basketball officiant for 25 years. He loved his Buckeyes and never missed a Cincinnati Reds game. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21st at 11 a.m. Interment following in Beckett Cemetery in Commercial Point. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
