John Kane Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A. G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. on Jun. 27, 2024.
John E. Kane Jr., age 67, of Gloversville, NY a cherished father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, at the tender care of Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, NY.
Born on November 8, 1956, in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Thelma (Bellinger) Kane.
Prior to his retirement, John's craftsmanship was evident in his work as a boat manufacturer at Taylor Made. His interests were as varied as they were engaging. An avid fisherman, he found solace on the water. He was known to lose track of time working on crossword puzzles or become thoroughly engrossed in a documentary on the History Channel. Remembered as a man who could fix almost anything, John's sense of humor, and skillful hands leave behind plenty of memories for those who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
John is survived by his children, Jackie Warner (Douglas), Kristy Kemmet (Jason), Tammi Kane; John Kane III (Stacey), Stephen Kane, Jason Kane; brother, Frank Bellinger (Stacy); grandchildren, Zachery, Knicholas, Rylie, Chandler, Kyle, Sean, Mia, Tyler, Justin, Aleea, Andre; great grandchildren, Ava and Scarlett; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his sisters, Anola Whittington and Kandie Williams.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
Memorial donations in John's memory may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
