John Arthur Karge
Date Of Birth: 05/05/1950
Date of Death: 11/28/2025

John Arthur Karge, age 75, of Aloha, Oregon, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

John was born on May 5, 1950, in Portland, Oregon, to Arthur and Dorothy Karge.

John proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy, receiving an Honorable Discharge. John began his career at Leupold & Stevens in 1974 and retired in 2020 after 46 years of dedicated service. He worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and later as a Continuous Improvement Specialist. John was a significant driving force behind advances in the company's machining capabilities, earning the Innovation Award in 2015. He was known as the subject matter expert and go-to person for anything related to production machining and equipment management. John was passionate, committed to excellence, and a mentor to many.

John treasured his family and friends. He was known for his kindness, gentle humor and brilliant problem-solving mind. He loved with quiet strength and unwavering devotion. His infectious laugh could fill a room and will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to hear it. In his younger years, he found joy in hunting and fishing, passions that reflected his love of the outdoors and the peaceful moments it offered. He enjoyed good food, a good bottle of wine, and never passed up a shot of schnapps after a meal- especially when shared with friends. He treasured his trips to Germany with coworkers and friends, adventures filled with laughter, stories and lasting memories.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Karge, his daughters, Julie (Doug) Moore and Heather (Andy) Prescott; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother Art; and sister Ann. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Karge and his mother, Dorothy Karge.

A viewing will be held on December 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m. at Springer & Son Aloha Funeral Home in Beaverton. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery in Happy Valley, Oregon.

John will be forever loved and forever missed.
