On December 11, 2025, John Reynolds Kemp, 59, gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord. He passed at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Reynolds Guy Kemp ll and late Caroyln Hall; and also his sister, Debbie Mazze and brothe,r Reynolds Guy Kemp lll (Rennie).

John leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Debbie Kemp of the home; Daughters: McKenzee Kemp of Wilson, Deborah Dechenne and husband Simon of Fayetteville, and Christina Reinhold and husband Matt of Fort Hood, TX; Sons: Logan Kemp and wife Erika of Wilson and Bobby Bray and wife Cianna of Graham, NC; Seven grandchildren: Heavenly, Nevaeh, Noah, and Simon, Jr. of Fayetteville, Jay’den of Graham, NC, Luciano of Fort Hood, TX, and Madlynn of Wilson; lifelong friends, Barbara Totten and Adam Schrum both of Phoenix, AZ.

John was born on August 12,1966 in Washington, PA to the late Reynolds Guy Kemp ll and the late Carolyn Hall. He moved to North Carolina in the early 80’s. He attended Haymount Free Will Baptist Church. Were he accepted the lord into his life. He went to South View Senior High. He was a painter with Privette Painting for years.

In 2007 he met the love of his life. In 2008, He married his wife, Debbie Kemp. They had been together for 18 years and married for 17 years. They did not have children together, but they had a combined family of 5 children.

In 2017 John was diagnosed with cancer. He batted the cancer for almost 10 years. John was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, son-in-law, father-in-law, brother, son, uncle. He enjoyed spending time with the family, going to NASCAR races, fishing, camping, coloring, playing Xbox. John was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, Carolina Tarheels Fan, and Fayetteville Woodpecker’s Fan. He loved sitting on the patio at his residence and talking with neighbors. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He will be missed by his fur babies Scooby and Mollie.

Burial will be at a later date.
