John L. "Jack" Kiesinger, 93, passed away at home Monday, Nov. 8, 2021.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lois; son, Barry; siblings, Grace Parker; Walter Kiesinger Jr.; Myrtle Hale; Edna Nichols; and Harold Kiesinger.
He is survived by his children, Lonnie Kiesinger Sr.; Nancy (Jeff) Houck; daughter-in-law, Mary Kiesinger; grandchildren, Michael (Michelle), Karl, Lisa, Heidi (Fred), Lonnie Jr., Paul, Erin and Paul; sister-in-law, Martha Kiesinger; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for IBM Corp. for over 30 years and was an active member of the Boulevard United Methodist Church for many years. Jack grew up fishing with his dad and carried on that tradition with his kids. He loved spending time with his family camping, fishing or working on cars together. Jack had an amazing woodworking talent creating many pieces that will be passed down for years to come. In his later years, Jack enjoyed puzzles.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barber Memorial Home Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Barber Memorial Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sky Lake Camp and Retreat Center, 501 William Law Road, Windsor, NY 13865, or Boulevard United Methodist Church, 113 Grand Boulevard, Binghamton, NY 13905.
