John Kimbrew Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents, Pat and Mary Jane Kimbrew. He is survived by his first cousins, Robert Kimbrew (Rae), Guy Bryant Whitfield ( Janet), and a number of other cousins. He was also survived by Greta Sepulveda who considered him to be like a father, Ronny, Ashley, Zach, Jake, Ashton, and Ben Taylor who called him Uncle John, Linda Romine who was his best friend and the love of his life, and many other friends.
John graduated from Plainview High School and North Texas University. He retired after 30 years with Reynolds Metals and then worked in real estate. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard, a 20 year member (and previous president) of the Rotary Club of Wimberley, and a member (and previous president of the board) of the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce. He also volunteered at the Wimberley Visitors Center and Market Days.
John accepted Jesus as his Savior at nine years of age and was a member of First Christian Church, San Marcos. He was a kind and thoughtful man and will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church (3105 Ranch Road 12, San Marcos, TX 78666) or the charity of your choice.

My sincere apologies for the delay of my condolences for John.
I had no idea of his passing until today. He was a very brilliant man and had a great heart. I worked with him for years in Wimberley and was very close to him during that time. I have thought about him so often. I thank GOD that I was blessed to have known him. John will always be be in my heart.

John was a customer of my internet service in Wimberley and became a very good friend that I enjoyed talking to. I will miss his pleasant voice on the phone. He was a good man.

John was a kind-hearted, wise and considerate man. My wife and I have fond memories of him from our days at Reynolds Metals Company in the 1970s, 80s and 90s. We share in everyone's sorrow for his tragic loss.

John was a good friend and neighbor. He was always there for me when I had questions about the neighborhood. We often talked about just about anything when we met in the street near our homes. He will truly be missed!!

John's welcoming smile and cheerful disposition will be greatly missed in the Wimberley community where he demonstrated a life of service to others. No doubt when John entered Eternity and at last met Jesus face-to-face he heard, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
