John "Andy" King, 73, a retired carpenter, died January 18, 2026, at home. Visitation is Saturday, January 31, 2026, 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 2:00pm Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lyon, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Andy is survived by his son, John Anderson King Jr.; daughters, Chastity (Adam) Watson and Mandie (Laurens); brothers, Justin "Rusty" King, Jeff King, and Sammie (Shirley) Cain; sisters, Janie Kendall and Kelli (Matthew) Kelly; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Lynn Hughes King; his son, William King; his parents, Alfred King and Edna Cain; and his brothers, James Buford, Jimmy Dale McLean, Jason "Eddie" King, and Joel "JoJo" King.
