John Kitler Obituary
John was very dedicated in his faith and loved serving the Lord, he felt the importance of being present in Church each Sunday. He and Florence served on the planning committee for Caleb's Kin Sunday School Class for over 20 years at West Cannon Baptist Church where he proudly served the Lord for over 60 years. John loved fishing, especially his time with his son and grandchildren walleye fishing on Lake Leelanau. You could also find him tinkering in his garage humming away enjoying the day. John was always happy, smiling and a friend to everyone he met. In his younger years, he enjoyed deer hunting.
Funeral services for John will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at West Cannon Baptist Church, 5760 Cannonsburg Rd.NE. His family will greet relatives and friends Monday from6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe St., Rockford., and one hour prior to the service at Church on Tuesday. Interment Blythefield Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to West Cannon Baptist Church Never Alone Widows Ministry. I grew up at West Cannon Baptist and John was one of my favorite people. Even though we were about 15 years apart in age, he always took time to talk to me. He was so kind, with a twinkle in his eye and a great smile for everyone. Great memories!
