John F. Kleinke, age 80, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1945, in Fond du Lac, the son of Arnold and Charlotte (Danor) Kleinke. John graduated from Goodrich High School and went on to serve in the United States Army Reserve. He spent his career designing homes and kitchens here and in Milwaukee. John loved golfing and in retirement worked for many years at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia and at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. He enjoyed Friday night fish fry’s, the outdoors, especially fishing which led him to his retirement hobby of making custom fishing lures for friends and family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol, his son, Jeff (Marin) Kleinke; two grandchildren, Madeline and Cooper; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Barbara (Bob) Whealon, Andrew Moquin and Mary (Jim) Feudner. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Donna (John) McDonnell and Kay Moquin.
A private family service is planned. Cremation has taken place.
