John "Ooby" Klockowski

John "Ooby" Stanley Kloczkowski passed away unexpectedly at home on March 12, 2026. He is survived by his daughter, Lianne Kanani MacDonald of North Uxbridge; his son Adam Gaskin and his girlfriend Jordan of Uxbridge; his grandson, Daven Kloczkowski Aguiar of Raleigh, North Carolina; and his sister, Anne M. Mangano and her husband Joseph Mangano of North Andover as well as many cousins.

John was born on October 1st, 1955 in Whitinsville to Germaine T. (Brochu) and Stanley F. Kloczkowski. He attended Good Shephard schools until high school where he attended Blackstone Valley Tech and graduated in 1974. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston for one year, then pursued his passion for music by joining a show band "The Hawaiian Gas Company" and traveled across the country, then took residency in Hawai'i. After moving back to Massachusetts, he became a school bus driver and then worked for Worcester County Rentals. He spent most of his career working at Braman Chemical as a pest control specialist.

John continued his musical path throughout the years until 2020. He enjoyed playing at Hampton Beach during the summer and played the drums for several other bands. He was also an avid railroad fan and enjoyed taking photos of trains and nature. He loved spending time with his children and grandson, including teaching them to fish at their summer lake house.

There will be no service or viewing. A celebration of life is planned for April 19, 2026 from 12pm to 4PM at the Uxbridge VFW. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Society of Addiction Medicine,11400 Rockville Pike, Suite 200, Rockville, MD 20852, email@ASAM.org.
