Obituary of John N. Kopp

July 26, 1934 - August 9, 2025

John N. Kopp. Age 91 of Trenton.

John Nicholas Kopp passed away on August 9, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 26, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio to Nicholas and Rita Kopp. He graduated from Macomber High School in Toledo, OH. Upon his graduation in 1951 he enlisted in the United State Air Force where he served during the Korean War. Upon returning from the Air Force in 1956, he entered the University of Toledo and graduated in 1960, majoring in International Trade and Transportation. His career path for the next forty-eight years was in Domestic and International Logistics. As an active member of St. Timothy's Church in Trenton, MI. He was a member of the church choir for over forty years. He also served as a eucharistic minister taking communion to local parishioners and to Aberdeen Skilled Nursing. In addition, he was involved with the Meals on Wheels program and was Vice President of the Downriver St. Vincent De Paul Society where he was honored with their Topp Hat award.

He is survived by his loving wife Felicia, his daughter Julie Kopp (Rob) Landry, his son Christopher (Ali) Kopp and five grandchildren, Angel (Jeremy) Duford, Caitlyn, Nicholas, Sarah, Addison and one great grandchild, Roy.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center, 2333 Schoolcraft Road, Detroit, MI 48223. https://www.stpaulretreat.org
