I did know John and am very saddened by this news as well. I lost touch with him many years ago, but I always liked John and enjoyed the times we spent together. RIP John. My belated condolences to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with John at Merck. I was truly lucky to have known him. He was so smart, fun loving, thoughtful and kind. He was always willing to teach and mentor. My condolences to the family. He will truly be missed.

Just seeing this 5 months later. I'm stunned. John was my manager at AT&T. I was prepared to dislike him since he replaced a favorite supervisor. But I enjoyed working with John from the get-go. After I left, and then John left, AT&T, we kept in touch via email but I hadn't heard from him in a while. Rest in peace, my friend.

I'm so lucky to have had John as a friend. He was as kind as anyone I've ever known and funny. Memories of him have washed over me during the past week, and all of them have warmed my spirit in the wake of losing him. The only possible consolation is that John will live on in those of us who knew and cared about him. May we all aspire to be as kind, patient, attentive, and thoughtful as John.

I am so sorry to hear this tragic news. John was an outstanding individual and will be missed by anyone who knew him. I had the honor of working with John. I can still hear him laugh when he would make a quiet joke about something. Rest In Peace dear friend.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with John in HR at SunTrust! He had a passion for doing the right thing and treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. I am deeply saddened of his passing and will miss our chats and sharing pictures of our fur babies.
I know his incredible devotion to his family will be missed. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

John was a teammate of mine at SunTrust. Without fail he made me laugh with his keen wit and was patient beyond measure with all my questions. May his light shine on.

I worked with John at SunTrust. He was one of my favorite people and someone I considered a loved friend. Although shy about meeting people, once anyone knew him, they loved him. He will be greatly missed.
