John O. Krueger, age 88, passed away at Bethel Home on the evening of Monday, August 19, 2024. He was born to the late John and Margaret (Johnson) Krueger on December 5, 1935, in Dekalb, IL. He married Sadie "Ann" Waters on April 13, 1957, at St Paul's Swindon in Wiltshire, England.
John attended Oshkosh High School, then went on to serve his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, both domestic and abroad in Germany, Africa and the United Kingdom. He will be remembered for his love of family, collecting, history, fishing, the Packers, cribbage, and dad jokes.
John is survived by his loving wife, Ann; children, Stormie (Gary) Derber, Jeffrey Krueger, and Adam (Andrea) Krueger; grandchildren, Kalven and Powers Coats, Natalie, Sawyer, and Joseph Krueger; sisters, Delores Schmude, Marilyn Slovick, and brother, Stephen Krueger; special friends, the Geisthardt Family; and many other cherished family and friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Robert, and sisters Janice McDermid and Karen Moylan.
A service for John will be at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave), celebrated on his son, Robert's birthday, Monday, August 26, 2024, at 11AM. A time of visitation will be held from 10 Am until the time of services. A burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to your local Special Olympics organization.
