Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home - Wittenberg on Sep. 4, 2024.
John and Corine Kulas, of Galloway, went to their Heavenly Home, surrounded by family, in their home.
Corine died on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the age of 86. John joined Corine on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the age of 89.
Corine was born on October 18, 1937, in Oshkosh, the daughter of George and Wanda (Billington) Schuster. John was born on July 20, 1935, in the Town of Alban, the son of John Sr. and Katherine (Goskowicz) Kulas.
On November 11, 1961, John and Corine were united in marriage at Corpus Christi, in Milwaukee. In 1964, the couple moved to Galloway and built their family home. Their home was filled with so much love and laughter throughout the almost 64 years of marriage.
While it seemed like Corine and John were inseparable, they did find time for their own enjoyments. John enjoyed working outside on various potato farms and in his vegetable garden. He also loved to hunt and fish. Corine was an avid baker and enjoyed decorating cakes. She loved puzzles and framed many throughout the years.
Faith and family were very important to John and Corine, and they cherished the time spent together.
John & Corine are survived by four sons, Scott (Tracy) Kulas of Rosholt, Donald (Lori Wagner) Kulas of Iola, Ronald (Kelly) Kulas of Crandon, and Patrick (Melissa) Kulas of Iola; two daughters, Jane (Bill) Schroeder of Marshfield, and Karen (David) Simonis of Rosholt; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Colin, Billy, Joshua, Christopher, Bradley, Daren, Dylan, and Samantha; eight great-grandchildren; John's siblings, Agnes Worzalla of Milwaukee, Anna Kizewski of Milwaukee, Mary Ann Riley of Sussex and Barbara Konkol of Rosholt; Corine's siblings, George 'Mike' (Mary) Schuster of Rosholt and Chris (Tom) Ziaja of Rosholt; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
John and Corine were preceded in death by their parents; John's brothers, Harry, Stanley, Anton, Victor, and Edward Kulas; John's sisters, Margaret Wierzba, Caroline Bronk, Elizabeth Mlodik and Angeline Mortin; Corine's sister, Sylvia Beyer.
