Kenneth E. Kulas, 85, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 in Woodstock, IL. He was born November 19, 1940 in Oak Park, IL, was formerly of Chicago and had been a Libertyville resident for the past 27 years. Ken received a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and served in the United States Navy for 4 years on the USS Canberra. He was co-founder and co-owner of Quintic Systems, Inc and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Libertyville. Ken enjoyed traveling around the world and immersing himself in local culture through food, focusing on authentic experiences like street food, local & specialty restaurants. He also enjoyed golfing and watching Purdue football and most of all he especially loved being a devoted loving husband to his late wife, Carol.

Surviving is his daughter, Lisa (Daniel) Casler; 2 sisters, Kristine (Daniel) Paprocki & Karen (the late James) Janak; 8 grandchildren; stepchildren, Marian (Terry Molnar) Schaffer & Michael (Heather) Schaffer by dear friends, Jim & Wendy Kemp & Michael & Marcia Matthies, amongst many more dear friends.

He was preceded by his beloved wife Carol Schaffer-Kulas on October 20, 2024.

A memorial service is pending and will be announced for the spring of 2026 and will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville. Memorial donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Grace Lutheran Church. For info: 847-362-3009 or share a memory at www.burnettdane.com.
